Brian is very excited about this (in fact I am almost certain this is why we chose this particular route). Fortunately this part of our flight was not full and we are able to stretch out across 3 seats, but it is still not enough room to get comfortable enough to actually sleep :( I am so tired and we are only here (note the night and day "bell curve"):
Earlier, they passed out these:
It's the little things :)
There are lots of movies to choose and you can only watch the lightning for so long (thanks for pointing that out Brian) so in the middle of my sleepless night I took advantage of some interactive language lessons. Thought it might be helpful to learn a few useful words and phrases in Malay. We'll probably be using this phrase a lot (gotta love the accompanying illustrations):
And how contradictory is this one? This'll be a tough one to remember...
I'm sure this will come in handy at some point (although hopefully they will just point because otherwise we'll then have to revert back to phrase #1):
And we won't get very far without this one:
Not particularly useful but the picture was nice :)
I did very well on all the post-quizzes:
Hours later I am now regretting not getting that Magnum ice cream bar this afternoon! I missed my window of opportunity :( Although my Indian vegetarian dinner was again -very good- I found myself (with 5 hours left on this flight) digging into our snack bag...this will surely hit the spot:
Ok 3 more hours still...really?! ARE WE THERE YET??
Getting closer...
My vegetarian Indian breakfast was delicious as was Brian's frittata. Since I haven't really slept it seems appropriate to eat "dinner" for "breakfast". This morning I noticed that their juices are named after my childhood nickname "albi" (Joe/Jul- is that how you spell it?). We'll be landing in Singapore soon and then will need to pick up our bags, go through customs and then take our last flight to Kuala Lumpur...soon we will be at our destination. We are just hoping to have some energy left when we get there!
Special thanks to Haim and Shalva Klement, Mary Jo and Zave Smith, and Yetta Brinks and Patrick Most for sponsoring our "best ever" international flights on our honeyfund :)
